We are looking for a colleague who has the knowledge, skills and commitment to innovation and technology. You will assist researchers and entrepreneurs to develop ideas for commercial success in collaboration with business and industry.

FILM: Be part of our team and the adventure to change the world

You will be advising entrepreneurs and commercializing research results from one or more of the research environments of the University of Stavanger (UiS), Stavanger University Hospital (SUS), Nofima, NIBIO, HVL and NMBU. You will work as a link between researchers, entrepreneurs and clusters.

We are looking for a committed and self-driven person with minimum master's degree education, preferably PhD level. You must have competence, knowledge, and network within the research environment. It´s important that you also have some years of experience from industry and a good business network. You should have knowledge of IP, development of business plans, interest, and good knowledge of establishing entrepreneurial companies, license negotiations, cooperation with business and fund raising.

The role:

• Searching for and collecting good ideas from different research environments
• Collaborating with various project teams internally and across academia and business
• Securing property rights (IPR)
• Securing funding for R&D and innovation projects
• Opportunity analysis, market assessments and concept development
• Developing and maintaining strong collaboration between industry and commercial partners
• Licensing of technology and assistance for the establishment of start-up companies

Your skills and experience:

• Education at minimum Master´s degree level, preferably PhD level
• Business experience and network
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English
• Strong qualities in building relationships and collaboration skills
• Capacity to work in a busy and changing digital environment
• Solution-oriented and positive attitude in meeting researchers, entrepreneurs and start-ups
• Creative and constructive approach to new issues
