Tourism with luxury travel

Norient Express is a new tourist concept in Norway. Luxury travel by train has existed for as long as the railway has steamed across land in Europe, Asia and the USA, with the Orient Express being the most famous, but never in Norway. If all goes well, the world's first Norient Express will roll out of Bergen Railway Station in autumn 2024.

Bergensbanen and Dovrebanen have rails through the tenderloin of Norwegian nature, and the tour experiences that founder Øivind Lindøe and Norient Express set out on are no fast track. The train service will depart once a week, and it takes six days to travel from Bergen to Trondheim, via Lillestrøm. Nature and culture takes place in collaboration with «De Historiske AS», an organization of hotels and restaurants that places special emphasis on historical and cultural experiences.

- In the international media, this is also referred to as some of the most beautiful railway lines in the world. We have carried out analyzes and found out where the tourists want to travel, says Lindøe to E24.no.
