Ocean Technology – Trends and Challenges and Research Activities at University of Stavanger

Muk Chen Ong is Professor in Marine Technology, and his presentation at Ydalir focuses on trends and challenges of ocean technology in Norway.

Muk Chen Ong will also show related research and educational activities at UiS in the areas of aquaculture technology, marine and subsea technology, offshore wind technology and fjord-crossings.

Om forskeren:
Muk Chen Ong is Professor in Marine Technology and Marine Operations at UiS. He is a leader for a lot of research projects and groups at UIS in his field. He is also a key researcher in Norwegian Research Centre for Offshore Wind Technology (NOWITECH). He has published over 140 international journal and conference papers. He has several roles as board member and editor in international scientific magazines and he is member in different international scientific comitees. Keywords for his research interests: Dynamic analysis of offshore fish cages and offshore wind turbines, ROV’s and subsea structures, free surface flow and wave kinematics.
