TRUE OR FALSE: It´s critical important to separate true from false in the news. Factiverse can check your questions. (Photo: Kayla Velasquez)
Fact-checking in Factiverse is done by powerful deep neural networks which learn from past patterns of fake news.
Factiverse provides evidence in the form of a brief summary containing important points for classifying a certain claim as true or false.
Fake news detection was started as a research project at University of Stavanger, Norway. Over 1 1/2 years we developed a deep neural network model to detect fake news. The research prototype and experiments have given promising results. The research article can be accessed here. Before the article was published, a US patent has also been submitted.
